Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter

After a lot of word on the street about Revlon’s new lip butters, I decided to dive in on a recent trip to Boots and give one a try.

Revlon Lip Butters - I'm loving the chic packaging!

I went for a lovely bright number, normally my signature lip colour is a fuchsia pink or a pillar box red, so ‘Lollipop (no 75)’ was right up my street.

Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop

I love the packaging of these, really chic and I’m sure somebody like Holly Golightly would walk around with one of these in her purse.

Lollipop itself is a blue tinted pink, so this would be great for a darker toned complexion, which isn’t too sallow. (Blue based pinks are also great for brightening teeth so there’s a little tip for you ladies!). The colour went on really smoothly, a few runs across the lip to intensify the colour is needed as one sweep will give you a sheer tint of colour and felt really light and un-sticky.

Lollipop was put to the test by a trip to the gym, a coffee and a reasonable amount of talking (maybe a lot of talking) and the colour was still great 2 hours later…

Lollipop on the job - excuse my ugly mug please!

I liked the sheerness but intense colour of this lippie and it didn’t dry out my lips or leave a horrid ring of left over colour as it wore off. I would definitely purchase another one.
